lll - AWARD OF ASSISTANCESHIP

1. Students’ at the IIST are provided DOS Assitanceship subject to prescribed academic performance level. However, at the beginning of each semester, every student has to remit the prescribed fees in full.

2. The DOS Assistanceship package meets the expenses towards Statutory Semester Fees, Student Amenity Fee, Hostel charges (including dining), Establishment charges, Medical coverage and Book Grant**of these only the book grant is paid directly to the eligible students either as reimbursement against submission of bills or books procured based on his/her request.

3. In the event the Student (other than the Student belonging to SC, ST and PD category) while studying in IIST, fails to secure a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 7.50 on a ten point scale in a semester, the said student will not be eligible for Assistanceship for the said semester. If a student from General/OBC category secures a GPA of 7.50 and above (in a scale of 10) in a semester, the prescribed fees that he/she has paid at the beginning of the semester will be returned to the student.

4. For the student belonging to SC,ST and PD category, graded Assistanceship will be provided only if he/she secures a minimum GPA of 6.50 (in a scale of 10) in every semester. However SC, ST, PD category student, who secures a GPA of 5.50 and above, but less than 6.50 (in a scale of 10) in a semester, has to remit the pre-notified fees except for the Tuition fees to continue the studies in the said semester. In the event the SC, ST, PD category student secures a GPA of less than 5.50 (in a scale of 10) in any semester; he/she will not be eligible for Assistanceship for the said semester. If a student from SC/ST/PD category secures a GPA of 6.50 and above (in a scale of 10) in a semester the prescribed fees that he/she has paid at the beginning of the semester will be returned to the student. For the SC,ST,PD category students who has secured a GPA of 5.50 and above but less than 6.50 in a semester, the prescribed tuition fee that he/she has paid at the beginning of the semester will be returned to the student.
